We were on Ticker News, here’s why it matters

This week I had the surreal experience of being interviewed by Ahron Young on Ticker News, talking all things baby sleep, AI, and the future of parenting support.

If you’d told me a year ago I’d be live on international news talking about a product we built to help exhausted parents… I probably wouldn't have believed you.

But here we are.

And here’s what we talked about and why it matters far beyond a 5-minute clip.

AI baby sleep help? Yes, and more.

The segment focused on how AI is changing the parenting game, not in some distant-future robot-nanny way, but in real, grounded, “I just need a straight answer at 2am” ways.

Yawn was built for that moment.

The one where you’ve already tried rocking, feeding, Googling, crying, and still… no sleep.

Yawn gives you expert-informed advice in real time, based on:

  • Your child’s exact age

  • Their nap and feed history

  • Your parenting approach

  • What you’ve tried before

  • What’s going on tonight

It’s not generic. It’s not random. And it’s definitely not built for clicks.

We care about context, not data. In fact, all the data is completely anonymised and confidential and you can delete it at any time. We are parents too, so we get it.

🌍 A global parenting problem needs a global solution

We’re raising children in an era where we have more information than ever but less personalised, trustworthy support.

Yawn was created to scale the quality of care usually only available through 1:1 consults or late-night support groups, and make it accessible to every parent, everywhere.

Because the reality is:

  • Many parents can’t afford sleep consultants

  • Many parents don’t know who to ask

  • Many parents are drowning in tabs, threads, and conflicting advice

We’re changing that - one tailored, emotionally intelligent answer at a time.

💡 Built on expertise. Powered by AI. Always human at the core.

We trained Yawn on the same frameworks used by certified baby sleep consultants - plus more developmental science, feeding research, and lived parenting experience.

It’s powered by the latest in generative AI, and shaped by human values:

  • No data harvesting

  • No replacing human connection

  • No scare tactics or guilt

  • Just kind, clear, real support for people doing the hardest job in the world

Because you don’t need a chatbot.

You need a parenting partner that gets it.

🎯 What’s next

We’re already in the hands of parents across the globe and now, thanks to this media moment, we’re inviting you to join us.

We want Yawn to become the global standard for digital parenting support:

  • Instant

  • Affordable

  • Expert-informed

  • Emotionally intelligent

  • Safe, private, and always in your corner
